Privacy Windows

The complete 18-section privacy policy for Wakari Windowline version 1.0.0.

EFFECTIVE 7 AUGUST 2026 · VERSION 1.0.0

The policy matched to the released Android app.

These 18 sections describe package nz.org.abbeyfielddunedin.windowline. The same wording appears inside the app and in the release Markdown copy.

1. Scope and publisher

This policy covers Wakari Windowline version 1.0.0, Android package nz.org.abbeyfielddunedin.windowline, prepared for Abbeyfield Dunedin Incorporated. It describes the released app itself, not every practice of the organisation or any external website.

2. No account or identity profile

The app has no sign-up, login, member account, resident profile, public profile or identity verification. It does not request a name, date of birth, photo, signature, government identifier or household record.

3. Data the app does not collect

The app does not collect, transmit or share personal information, contact details, precise or approximate location, health information, financial information, messages, photos, audio, files, contacts, device identifiers, advertising identifiers or usage analytics.

4. Local preset choices

The app can remember only preset reflections such as selected windows, meal-company options, a garden season, visit checkpoints, access questions, reading settings and an ordered list of up to four preset House Circle prompts. There is no free-text field.

5. On-device storage

Preset choices are stored in app-private Android preferences on the current device. They are used only to restore the app experience and are not available to the organisation, other users, a server or an analytics provider.

6. No network or tracking SDK

Version 1.0.0 requests no Internet permission and includes no advertising, analytics, attribution, social, crash-reporting, cloud database, remote configuration, payment, mapping, messaging or remote artificial-intelligence SDK.

7. Android permissions

The released app requests no dangerous Android permission. It does not request camera, microphone, contacts, notifications, location, storage, phone, nearby-device, activity, body-sensor or calendar access.

8. Backup and device transfer

Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app preferences, files and databases. This reduces unintended copying of local choices to another device or account.

9. Illustrative images

The supplied visual scenes are AI-generated or AI-edited illustrations. They are not documentary photographs of the Dunedin house, residents, staff, meals or current conditions, and the app does not analyse faces or images.

10. Communications and contact

The app has no contact form, email composer, telephone action, browser action, chat or messaging feature. The support email abbeyfield.dunedin@gmail.com, house phone 03 464 0082 and source URLs appear only as selectable reference text.

11. No sale, sharing or advertising use

Because the app sends no user data off-device, it does not sell personal data, share it with third parties, use it for cross-app tracking, build advertising audiences or show personalised or contextual advertising.

12. Local security limits

Local choices are protected by Android app sandboxing and by disabled backup and transfer. Device access, screenshots, rooted systems and operating-system security remain under the device owner or administrator, so no local app can promise absolute security.

13. Retention and deletion

Local choices remain until the user clears them in About and Reading, clears Android app storage or uninstalls the app. Clearing choices removes the app preferences immediately; there is no server copy and no server deletion request is needed.

14. Adults and children

Wakari Windowline is written for adults considering, visiting, supporting or participating in independent older-adult shared housing. It is not directed to children and contains no child account, child profile, social interaction or targeted advertising.

15. Housing, care and emergency boundary

The app is an educational orientation companion. It is not a vacancy board, application, tenancy decision, eligibility or affordability assessment, contract, nursing or medical service, care plan, accessibility guarantee, safeguarding report or emergency tool.

16. Sources and external services

The Source Folio displays dated official source titles and HTTPS addresses as non-clickable reference text. The app cannot open or retrieve them. Any site visited separately has its own availability, content and privacy practices.

17. Policy changes

A future version that changes permissions, data handling, libraries or features will require a revised policy, effective date, Play Data safety review and public policy update. This policy applies only to version 1.0.0 as audited.

18. Privacy and support contact

Questions about this app release or its privacy description can be sent to abbeyfield.dunedin@gmail.com. Current housing, availability, cost, visit, care or residency questions should be confirmed through authorised current organisational channels rather than through the app.
